Designed for the NBA Playoffs, the Elite version of the Nike KD 9 features a one-piece stretch collar that replaces the Flyknit that was originally used on that area. It also comes with thicker Flywire cables to add for a better lockdown fit. But Nike kept its original full-length visible Zoom unit that’s seen on the non-Elite KD 9.

The updated KD 9 features a woven Flyknit construction, a head-turning lacing system where the laces double as a sort of Dynamic Flywire lockdown system, and a slip-on upper that features a lightweight textile that stretches with the foot for a comfortable ride. Kevin Durant only spent a year at the University of Texas playing in those iconic burnt orange uniforms, but he made it worth both his and the college’s while with historic numbers for a freshman before darting to the NBA. Today we get a look at the Nike KD 9 “Texas” set to be worn by the women’s Longhorns squad in the coming Big 12 Conference Tournament this Saturday followed by a March 10th release.

Nike’s referenced the Texas Longhorns atop past KD silhouettes, but this will be the first time that any Longhorns-themed logo will be placed on a retail release. The KD 9 Texas benefits from an off-white sail Flyknit upper with that burnt orange hue proudly donned on the Swoosh branding and unique ’35’ contrasting tongue stitching. The heel tab also features ‘Texas’ boldly printed on it so there’s no doubt as to what the inspiration for this pair is.

The Air Jordan 6 Alternate extends Jordan Brand’s “Alternate” color theme with the Air Jordan 6 silhouette.

This Air Jordan 6 plays on the Chicago Bulls colors having a White, Pure Platinum and Gym Red color scheme. Similar to the “Alternate” Air Jordan 4, this one is a nod to what MJ would’ve worn during his 1991 playoff run.

They’re almost like a hybrid between the “Maroon” Air Jordan 6 and “Hare” Air Jordan 7 releases.
