Dutch artist Piet Parra needs no introduction as his work has had major influence in the world of art, streetwear, and most certainly sneakers. Jordan Brand will be expanding their Air Jordan 3 JTH lineup with an upcoming “Bio Beige” colorway for Summer 2018.
A slight difference from the pair spotted at Justin Timberlake’s February pop-up in NYC. This Air Jordan 3 will feature a Bio Beige suede upper, Black elephant print overlays and Nike Air on the heels. Another additional detail includes an embossed text that reads “HIGHER” on the ankle. Nike Basketball will be paying homage to the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 MPLS colorway that originally debuted in 2006 with their remastered version of the Nike Kobe 1 Protro.

The franchise that would become the Lakers was founded in 1946 as the Detroit Gems and played in the National Basketball League (NBL). The team moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1947, and its name was changed to the Lakers to reflect the Minnesota state nickname, “Land of 10,000 Lakes.”
