As Jordan Brand looks to celebrate Air Jordan’s 30th Anniversary during All-Star weekend, it derives inspiration from this year’s host city and Michael Jordan’s birthplace to produce two Air Jordan X color ways. Jordan Brand & Warner Bros. Announce Return of Hare Jordan Collection

Jordan Brand’s latest announcement has brought word of a renewed partnership with Warner Bros. on a forthcoming Hare Jordan campaign. In 1992, following Jordan’s first championship season, Jordan and Looney Tunes star Bugs Bunny first joined forces for the iconic advertisement. As part of the 30th anniversary festivities for the original Hare Jordan collection, Nike has made public its plans to release an array of footwear and apparel. The world lost one of the greatest coaches in college basketball history Saturday, as former North Carolina coach Dean Smith passed away at 83.

During his 36-year career at UNC, Smith’s most famous pupil was Michael Jordan. The future Chicago Bulls legend played under Smith from 1981-1984, leading the Tar Heels to a title in 1982, earning All-American honors twice (1984, 1984) and being named Player of the Year in 1984.

In the remembrance of Smith, his recruiting letter to Jordan from 1980 has re-surfaced.
