Nike Air Command Force “Bleached Denim”

Originally released in 1990, the Nike Air Command Force is surely one of the sportswear giants most notable retro-high tops. Following the release of the “Ultramarine” colorway at the end of last year, Nike unveils a striking ”Bleached Denim” iteration of the sneaker. As the name already points out, the shoe features a washed-denim upper with muted black accents along the vamp, inner lining and sole unit. Additional pink detailing gives the design some pop, while white splattering along the heel of the shoe rounds out this eye-catching design. A First Look at the Italian-Made Just Don x Air Jordan 2 Retro

Even with Jordan’s brand-wide emphasis on improved materials this year, the latest collaboration from the camp is unprecedented. But then, we’d expect any project with Don C to be of the utmost opulence. Here we find Just Don’s penchant for supple leather executed across the Air Jordan 2 Retro – done up in standout royal blue from top to bottom. The plush quilted leather upper is complimented by blue suede paneling at the lateral side as well as the tongue. As if the aesthetics weren’t striking enough, the packaging is equitably luxurious: a printed white dustbag, throwback red and gold box, and two branded Jordan pins are also delivered with the sneakers. The final touch is also its most important: a branded white, green, and red insole (also done in quilted leather) reads: “Just Don – Beaverton, Italy, Chicago,” ostensibly a reference to the Italian workshops that crafted this daring sneaker. While official release dates are still unconfirmed, word around the internet is that the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 Retro will arrive on January 31.

Nike's self-lacing Back to the Future sneakers are still coming this year

Last year Nike designer Tinker Hatfield revealed that the iconic sneakers from Back to the Future Part II — you know, the ones that lace themselves — would eventually be a product you could actually buy. While we haven't heard much about the shoes since then, Hatfield took the stage at the Agenda Trade Show in Long Beach to confirm that the 2015 edition of the Nike MAGs are still in the works, reports Nice Kicks. While the designer didn't reveal an exact date for the shoes, he did say that the team is working hard to get them out this year, noting that there still are "11 and two-thirds months left in 2015." (This year also happens to be the year in which the second film was set.) In 2011, Nike auctioned off 1,500 pairs of the shoes raising more than $4.7 million, though that version (pictured above) didn't include the futuristic self-lacing technology.
